Laura began working in an office at the age of 17 as an Office Junior. The following year she did an NVQ in Business Administration, whilst working and studying typing in the evenings.
In 2001 she was given the opportunity to help with the Accounts, which had always been her goal. She then studied Bookkeeping in an evening to help progress her knowledge at work.
During the 10 years she was with her first main Employer, she was made Company Secretary, due to her loyalty and hardworking nature.
Over the next few years she attained the Association of Accounting Technicians qualification.
In 2012 she began working for a company in Brandesburton which supplies chassis to caravan manufacturers in East Yorkshire. She loved the structure and family feeling of the company, which helped her progress and expand her skills in Accounts.
Only leaving in 2019 due to a global takeover of the company. In December 2019 Laura joined Beverley Veneers and worked through the busiest and strangest year BV had ever known [2020, the COVID year].
When, in 2021 the Jukes Group acquired DFS Caskets in Scotland, Laura was asked to provide bookkeeping services for them as well as maintaining her role at BV.
She continues to do the bookkeeping for both Beverley Veneers and DFS Caskets.
